About

I like to say I was born into the medical field, but I had to find my own medicine and my own path within it.

My mom was a nurse and I grew up wandering around nursing homes until her shift ended. I interacted with the nurses, residents, staff that provided activities, nutrition, pastoral care, as well as the maintenance team and administration. I felt completely at home and witnessed how each role was crucial in delivering care. Yet, I realized none of these roles were quite my calling.

While building a career in data and finance, I continued volunteering at hospice and cancer clinics. It was during this time that I experienced acupuncture for the first time to treat recurring migraines. I immediately fell in love with this medicine, realizing I had found my calling. I was drawn to how acupuncture considers the whole person, aiming to address the root causes rather than just the symptoms. The idea that seemingly unrelated symptoms could form a pattern fascinated me. Regular sessions, including herbal remedies and restorative naps at the acupuncturist’s office, began to improve my well-being. It was comforting to have someone genuinely present and attentive to me. I knew I had discovered the practice I was meant to pursue.

Acupuncture has been a cornerstone in my life. My passion for this healing practice motivated me to explore deeper themes I observed in individuals facing end-of-life challenges, life-altering news, grief, trauma, and uncertainty. This journey equipped me with additional tools that helped me heal my own traumas, feel safe in my body, trust myself, connect with my inner wisdom, transform how I respond to my emotions, and cultivate resilience beyond what I imagined possible. I am deeply grateful to offer this healing art to others and provide support during difficult times.
